How to measure
Every slot size below is the opening as designed. Measure the widest point of what you're storing, including its capsule, sleeve or packaging, and it needs to come in a little under the slot size to slide in. A pair of digital callipers is the easiest way; a ruler held against the edge works for most things.

Popular 1oz silver coins
Coin slots are 45.5 mm across and 7.3 mm thick, with a curved cradle at the bottom, so every common 1oz silver coin fits bare. Whether it fits in a capsule depends on the capsule. Ours are 40 mm inside and 43 mm outside.
| 1oz silver coin | Across × thick | Coin slot, bare | In our 40 mm capsule |

Sizes are each mint's published bullion figures; proof and special editions can differ, so measure anything unusual.
Coins in other capsules
A capsule fits a coin slot if its outside is under 45.5 mm across and 7.3 mm thick. Capsules made for 40.6 mm coins are usually the problem:
- Lighthouse (Leuchtturm) 41 mm capsules, the usual choice for Silver Eagles and Kangaroos, are about 47 mm across, too wide for our coin slots.
- Air-Tite 40 mm direct-fit holders are quoted at 44.5 to 45.7 mm across, right on the limit. Measure yours.
- Our own 40 mm capsules are 43 mm across and made for these slots, but they only take coins up to 40 mm.
So if you stack Silver Eagles or Kangaroos, they're best kept bare in a Coin Stacker 60 coin box, where the cradle holds each coin on its edge without it touching the next.
Coins in the Mini Stacker 12
The Mini Stacker 12 stacks coins instead of standing them on edge: two round pockets, 39.2 mm deep, each take six of our 43 mm capsules one on top of another. It's made for coins in capsules, so anything that goes in our capsules goes in the Mini. If yours are in another maker's capsules, check they're no wider than 43 mm.
Bars
Bar slots are 38 mm wide and 8 mm thick, and they run straight through the tray with foam either side, so length isn't limited: a long thin bar and a short thick one both close in. Measure the width and thickness of your bar (and its capsule, if it has one). Bar slots are in the Bar Stacker 60, the Coin & Bar Mix 60 and the Multibox 78.
Card bars and TEP cards
Card slots are 90 mm long and 2 mm thick, long enough for credit-card-sized bars such as Tavex, PAMP and Baird, bare or still in their plastic sleeves. Larger Royal Mint cards are too big for them. They're in the Credit Card 98 and the Multibox 78.
For cards still sealed in tamper-evident packaging, the TEP Card 38 has slots 84 mm long and 5 mm thick.
Wessex Mint 1g bars
Our 1g Blister 98 case is cut to the footprint of a single Wessex Mint 1g blister pack. For their 2 × 1g, 4 × 1g and 6 × 1g multipacks, the 1g Multipack 117 case takes all three.
