Send any return, cancellation notice or written correspondence to the address above. Please contact us before returning anything so we can tell you what to expect.
These terms apply to orders placed directly with us. If you buy through eBay or Whatnot, that marketplace's own terms and returns process apply instead — but your legal rights as a consumer, including those in section 8, are the same however you buy from us.
2. What we sell
We sell storage cases. We buy in a hard-shell outer case and design and 3D print an insert to fit a particular format of coin, bar or blister pack. We also sell clear acrylic coin capsules, which we buy in, on their own or added to a coin box. We do not sell bullion. Any coins or bars shown in our photographs are there to demonstrate fit and are not included.
Because each insert is printed to order, small variations in colour, surface texture and finish are normal and are not defects. Photographs are illustrative; screens differ, and printed colour may not match exactly.
3. Checking fit
Each box lists its slot sizes — the largest coin, capsule, bar, card or pack each slot takes — on our range page and in the box builder. Please measure what you are storing, including any capsule or sleeve, against those sizes before you order.
Capsule diameters, slabbed grades and packaging vary between mints and graders. If you are unsure, or are storing something unusual, tell us the exact product before you order so we can confirm it fits — or cut you a custom insert. Larger Royal Mint cards are too big for our card slots.
If something within the listed slot sizes does not fit, that is for us to put right (see section 8). We are not responsible for a poor fit where an item is larger than the listed slot size and you did not tell us what you were storing.
4. How an order is made
There are two ways to order from us.
Ordering online, through our checkout
For our standard builds, an order is formed like this:
- You build your box in the box builder. The summary shows the model, colour, finish, any engraving text, any capsules added, the quantity and the total price. You can go back and change any of it before you pay. (For coin capsules on their own, you choose the number of packs on their page.)
- You go to our secure checkout page, run by Stripe, where you enter your name, email address and delivery address, confirm you accept these terms, and pay.
- You get an email straight away acknowledging your order and payment.
- We accept your order by emailing you an order confirmation, normally within one working day — a contract is formed at that point.
If we cannot accept an order you have paid for, we will tell you why and refund you in full, to the way you paid, within 14 days. The checkout is in English only. We keep a record of your order and you can ask us for a copy of it at any time.
Ordering by enquiry, for anything bespoke
For custom inserts, other colours, collection and anything the checkout doesn't cover, prices shown on this site are an indication, not an offer to sell, and an order is formed like this:
- You send us an enquiry with the specification you want.
- We reply confirming the price, any custom work, the lead time and how to pay.
- You confirm you want to go ahead.
- We confirm your order in writing — a contract is formed at that point, and not before.
Orders we can't take
We can decline any order — for example if we cannot source the shell, cannot achieve the fit you need, or the requested custom text is offensive, misleading, or infringes someone else's trade mark or copyright. If you have already paid, we refund you in full.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include any applicable tax.
- Delivery anywhere in Great Britain is free, by Royal Mail 48. There are no additional charges at any point.
- Custom engraving is a flat £5 per box, whatever the text says, and adds 2 working days to the lead time.
- Coin capsules (40 mm inside) can be added to a Coin Stacker 60 — 60 capsules, £6.50 per box — or a Coin & Bar Mix 60 — 30 capsules, £3.25 per box. On their own they are £10 for a pack of 60.
- Prices on eBay and Whatnot can differ from ours: they include those platforms' fees, and many Whatnot sales are auctions.
- Online orders are paid in full at checkout, by debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut Pay, on a secure checkout page run by Stripe.
- Orders by enquiry are paid in full by the payment link or invoice we send you, before we begin printing.
- We never charge extra for paying by card.
6. Delivery
- Delivery is free anywhere in Great Britain — England, Wales and Scotland, including the Scottish islands, the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly — sent by Royal Mail 48. Royal Mail aims to deliver within two to three working days of dispatch, but this is not a guaranteed service.
- We dispatch standard builds within 2 working days. Engraving adds 2 working days, and the 1g Multipack 117 (our largest case, for Wessex Mint multipacks) has a lead time of 4. Coin capsules ordered on their own are in stock and dispatched the next working day; capsules added to a box are sent with the box. We confirm the date when you order.
- We deliver to Great Britain only. We can't currently deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or overseas. If an online order is placed for delivery to one of those places, we will cancel it and refund you in full.
- Collection from Milton Keynes is welcome by arrangement.
- Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to someone you have nominated.
- If your parcel is late or goes missing, tell us. We will chase it with the carrier, and if it does not turn up we will send a replacement or refund you — until a parcel reaches you, it is our responsibility.
7. Cancelling your order
If you are a consumer buying at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason. You then have a further 14 days to return them.
Standard configurations — you can cancel
A box in one of our standard colours and finishes, with no custom text, can be cancelled and returned under that 14-day right. Return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty. We refund within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of proof that you sent them, using the same method you paid with.
Coin capsules — bought on their own or added to any box, personalised or not — can be cancelled and returned in the same way.
Please return items in the condition you received them. We may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to check the goods.
Personalised and bespoke builds — you cannot cancel
Regulation 28(1)(b) removes the right to cancel for goods that are made to your specification or clearly personalised. That applies where you have ordered:
- custom engraved text on the insert; or
- a colour outside our standard range; or
- a bespoke insert cut to your own measurements or products.
Once we begin printing a personalised item you cannot cancel it and it cannot be returned, unless it is faulty or not as described. We will always make this clear to you in writing before you commit, and we will not start printing until you have confirmed the specification.
This does not affect your rights if the goods turn out to be faulty — see the next section.
How to cancel
Email [email protected], or write to us at 5 Deeping Gate, Stonebridge, Milton Keynes, MK13 0DE, with your name, order details and a clear statement that you are cancelling. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you don't have to.

8. If something is faulty
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by anything on this page. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:
- Within 30 days of delivery you can reject them for a full refund.
- After 30 days you can ask for a repair or replacement. If that isn't possible or doesn't fix the problem, you can have a price reduction or reject the goods for a refund.
- Within 6 months of delivery, a fault is assumed to have been there from the start unless we can show otherwise.
- Up to 6 years (5 in Scotland) you may still have a claim if the goods were faulty when supplied.
Email us with a photograph and a description and we will sort it out. We pay return postage on faulty goods.
9. What our cases can and cannot do
The outer case has a perimeter gasket, lockable latches and a pressure valve. It is designed to resist damp, dust and splashes. It is not a safe, it is not a security container, and it is not diving equipment. It is not certified to any waterproofing or security standard unless we have told you so in writing for a specific product.
Storing valuables is your responsibility. Please make sure your contents are insured. We are not responsible for loss or theft of anything stored in one of our cases, or for corrosion, tarnishing or other damage to the contents unless it is caused by a fault in the case or insert — in which case section 10 applies.
10. Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any of your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, and where you are buying as a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
Where you are buying as a business, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or any indirect or consequential loss.
11. Complaints
Email [email protected] and we will acknowledge within 2 working days and aim to resolve matters within 14 days. If we cannot agree, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk.
12. Intellectual property
The MK Bullion name, logo, insert designs, photographs and the content of this website belong to us. You may not copy, reproduce or resell our insert designs or 3D models. Buying a box gives you the box, not the design.
If you ask us to print custom text, you confirm you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Royal Mint, Wessex Mint, Tavex, PAMP, Baird and any other product names we mention are trade marks of their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them; we use their names only to describe which products our inserts are made to fit.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when your order was placed.
